Privacy Policy

Picoro Mobile Ltd. ("Picoro", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Picoro mobile application ("the App"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to make Picoro work:
- Phone number — used to create your account and verify it via SMS.
- Profile information — name, username, and avatar you choose to display.
- Contacts — if you grant permission, we read your phone contacts to find friends who already use Picoro. Contacts are not uploaded to our servers in raw form.
- Photos and messages you send — the content of pic-requests, photos, and messages you exchange with friends in the App.
- Push notification token — a device identifier from Apple or Google so we can send you notifications.
- Activity statistics — counts of pic-requests sent and received, photos sent and received. Used only inside your own profile.
We do not collect your precise location, your browsing history, or sensitive personal information.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To deliver pic-requests, photos, and messages between you and your friends.
- To send push notifications when someone interacts with you.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms.
- To respond to your support requests.
Disappearing photos
By default, photos you send and receive are automatically deleted from our servers after a period you choose (7 days, 30 days, 1 year, or "off"). You can change this in Profile › App Settings › Disappearing Photos. When the period elapses, the photo is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share information only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the App:
- Google Firebase — for authentication, database, file storage, and push notifications.
- Expo — for delivering push notifications to your device.
These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data on our behalf only.
Data retention
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. Photos and messages are deleted according to your Disappearing Photos setting. If you delete your account, all your personal data, profile, photos, and messages are permanently removed within 30 days.
Your rights
You can at any time:
- Edit your profile — in Profile › Account Information.
- Block users — from a chat info screen.
- Mute notifications — in Profile › App Settings › Mute Notifications.
- Delete your account permanently — in Profile › Delete Account. This wipes all your data.
- Request a copy of your data — by emailing us at picoromobile1986@gmail.com.
Children
Picoro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we work hard to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated inside the App.
